About The Film

Yew Tree Farm means everything to third-generation farmer Catherine Withers. It is her home, her livelihood, and her community. Besides producing locally grown, organic food, the farm’s grasslands and ancient hedgerows serve as a habitat for diverse wildlife. However, this ecological treasure faces pressure from a growing urban population and a cemetery expansion.

One Last Farm follows Catherine's journey over the course of a year as she fights to protect her nature-friendly farm from development.

“A beautiful story… had me in tears, anger and feeling all the more protective of our local wild spaces.”

— Linda Barber, BBC Studios
